Polish Lessons Privacy Policy and Coocies Policy
General Information
This Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy defines the rules for the processing and protection of personal data and the use of cookies and other technologies, such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Facebook Pixel, in connection with Users’ use of the Website and social media profiles operated by the Administrator.
§1. Definitions
For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, the following definitions apply:
Administrator – the controller of personal data is the Entrepreneurship Development Foundation “Twój StartUp”, with its registered office in Warsaw (registered address: ul. Żurawia 6/12, room 766, 00-503 Warsaw), entered into the Register of Entrepreneurs of the National Court Register by the District Court for the Capital City of Warsaw, 12th Commercial Division of the National Court Register, under KRS number 0000442857; NIP: 5213641211; REGON: 146433467; contact details: phone number +48 453 610 099, email address: kontakt.polishlessons@gmail.com, in connection with the organized part of the enterprise operated by Daria Pawlicka under the name Polish Lessons.
Website – the website available at: polishlessons.edu.pl
User – any entity browsing the content of the Website.
GDPR – Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC.
§2. Personal Data
- The Administrator is the controller of the User’s personal data within the meaning of the GDPR.
- The Administrator processes Users’ personal data for specific purposes and on a legal basis, which may include the User’s voluntary, specific, informed, and unambiguous consent, expressed for example via an appropriate form on the Website. Personal data may also be processed where the Administrator is obliged to do so under applicable law, for the performance of a contract concluded between the parties, or on the basis of the Administrator’s legitimate interest.

Newsletter Subscription Form
Personal data provided by the User via the newsletter subscription form are processed for the purpose of providing the newsletter service, including information about news and selected offers. Providing personal data is voluntary but necessary in order to subscribe to and receive the newsletter. Data processing is based on a contract (legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) concluded via the newsletter subscription form. The User may terminate the contract at any time by unsubscribing according to the instructions included in each newsletter or by sending an appropriate request to the Administrator’s email address.
Contact Form
Personal data provided by the User via the contact form or in an email sent to the Administrator’s email address indicated on the Website are processed in order to respond to the inquiry. Providing personal data is voluntary but necessary in order to receive a response. Data processing is based on the Administrator’s legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). The data will be processed until the correspondence is completed and until the limitation period for any potential claims expires.
Social Media and Instant Messaging
Personal data provided by the User via the Administrator’s social media profiles or messages sent via instant messaging tools are processed in order to respond to the inquiry. Providing personal data is voluntary but necessary in order to receive a response. Data processing is based on the Administrator’s legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). The data will be processed until the correspondence is completed and until the limitation period for any potential claims expires.
- The Administrator may entrust the processing of personal data to other entities that support the achievement of the purposes indicated above (e.g. hosting service providers, accounting firms, email marketing service providers).
- Personal data will not be transferred to recipients in third countries or to international organizations that do not ensure an adequate level of data protection, unless such protection is ensured by an appropriate decision of the European Commission or another binding legal instrument.
- The Administrator guarantees the confidentiality of all personal data provided.
- Personal data are collected with due diligence and adequately protected against access by unauthorized persons, and processed in accordance with and under the conditions specified in particular in:
a) Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR),
b) the Act of 18 July 2002 on the provision of electronic services,
c) the Act of 10 May 2018 on the protection of personal data.
§3. User Rights
- The User has the following rights related to the processing of personal data:
a) the right to access personal data,
b) the right to rectify personal data,
c) the right to restrict processing,
d) the right to object to processing,
e) the right to erasure of data (the “right to be forgotten”),
f) the right to data portability,
g) the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. - The User has the right to withdraw consent at any time, if consent has previously been given.

§4. Cookies and Other Information
- When using the Website, data concerning the User are collected automatically, including, among others: IP address, domain name, browser type, and operating system type. These data may be collected via cookies and stored in server logs.
- Cookies are files sent to and stored on the User’s device (e.g. computer, smartphone, tablet) while browsing the Website. Cookies store User preferences and behavior, enabling improvement of service quality, search results, relevance of displayed information (including advertisements), and anonymous tracking of User preferences.
- The current list of cookies used on the Website is available via the cookie banner displayed on the Website.
- The User may consent to the use of cookies via the cookie banner or browser settings. Consent may be withdrawn or modified at any time in the same manner.
- The User may also delete cookies from their device using browser functions, dedicated software, or operating system tools.
- Data stored in server logs or collected via cookies are not combined with specific Users and are not used to identify Users. Server logs are used solely for website administration and are accessible only to authorized personnel.
- The Website uses technologies that anonymously record User activity, including:
a) Google Analytics and Google Search Console – for website traffic analysis,
b) Facebook Pixel – for managing and optimizing Facebook advertising.
Data collected through these tools are not linked to specific Users and are not used to identify them. - The use of the technologies mentioned above serves to optimize the Website, its content, and the offer to better meet Users’ needs.
§5. Purpose of Data Processing
Personal data provided by the User or collected automatically are processed for the purpose of:
a) ensuring proper functioning, configuration, and security of the Website,
b) monitoring session status,
c) analyses, research, and audits of Website traffic,
d) statistical and marketing purposes.

This document may be subject to changes resulting from the development of internet technologies, changes in data protection laws, and the development of the Website and online services. Any changes will be communicated to Users promptly in a clear and visible manner.
