Polish Lessons - Class regulations

General Provisions

  1. The organizer of lessons and other educational activities is the Entrepreneurship Development Foundation “Twój StartUp”, with its registered office in Warsaw, ul. Żurawia 6/12, room 766, 00-503 Warsaw, correspondence address: Atlas Tower, Al. Jerozolimskie 123a, 18th floor, 02-017 Warsaw, entered in the Register of Entrepreneurs of the National Court Register under KRS number 0000442857, NIP: 521-364-12-11, REGON: 146433467, BDO: 000460502, with a branch office at ul. Nowomiejska 3 in Gdańsk, hereinafter referred to as the “School”.
  2. These regulations apply to educational services provided under the organized business unit POLISH LESSONS, represented by Daria Pawlicka (email: kontakt@polishlessons.edu.pl, tel.: +48 453 610 099), designated as the contact person for the implementation of these regulations.
  3. The School provides educational services consisting of teaching Polish as a foreign language.
  4. The School commits to providing services with due diligence, in accordance with professional standards and ethical principles. Lessons are conducted by qualified teachers.
  5. Courses are conducted in one of the following forms: individual lessons, duet lessons, or group lessons, online or in-person.

Registration and Participation

  1. By submitting the registration form, the participant (hereinafter referred to as the “Student”) confirms their willingness to participate in the selected course and accepts these regulations.
  2. Participation of minors is possible only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
  3. The School reserves the right to take photographs and record audio or video during lessons. By participating in the course, the Student agrees to the use of their image in the School’s promotional materials (including website and social media).
  4. The Student agrees to receive marketing and informational messages related to the School’s activities. Consent may be withdrawn at any time by contacting the School.

Payments

  1. Course fees are specified individually in the offer or price list valid at the time of registration.
  2. Payments are made in advance and must be settled within seven (7) days of receiving the invoice and/or before the start of the course or billing period.
  3. Payments are made via bank transfer to the account indicated on the invoice.
  4. In the event of non-payment by the due date or lack of contact from the Student for more than fourteen (14) days, the School reserves the right to suspend or discontinue lessons. The Student remains obliged to pay for lessons already conducted.
  5. Discounts granted to the Student are individual, non-transferable, and apply to a single course item or billing period. Discounts do not accumulate unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Course Types and Billing Rules

Individual Courses

  1. Individual courses are offered in the form of prepaid lesson packages or recurring
    billing periods, according to the current offer.
  2. The scope, number of lessons, validity period, and price are defined in the
    selected offer.
  3. Paid lessons must be completed within the agreed validity or billing period.
    Unused lessons are not refundable.
  4. Termination of an individual course requires notification before the end of the
    current package or billing period and before issuing the next invoice.

Duet and Group Courses

  1. Duet and group courses are organized for a defined course period (e.g.,
    semester) and require payment in advance for the entire period.
  2. The course fee covers the full course period, regardless of the Student’s
    attendance.
  3. Absence from lessons does not entitle the Student to a refund or reduction of the
    course fee.
  4. The School provides the lesson schedule before the start of the course.

Cancellation and Makeup Policy

  1. Individual lessons may be canceled or rescheduled free of charge if the Student notifies the School or teacher at least twenty-four (24) hours before the scheduled lesson.
  2. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice or failure to attend a lesson result in the lesson being considered completed.
  3. After consultation, the teacher may provide individual materials or homework to compensate for the missed lesson.
  4. In the event of teacher illness or circumstances beyond the School’s control, a substitute lesson will be arranged, or the course duration extended.
  5. Lesson schedules may be changed by mutual agreement between the Student and the teacher.

Termination and Withdrawal

  1. The Student may terminate participation in an individual course in accordance with the rules specified for the selected offer, provided that notice is given before the end of the current billing period.
  2. Paid fees are non-refundable.
  3. Students enrolled in duet or group courses are obliged to participate until the end of the course period.
  4. After the end of the course period, the Student is not obliged to continue participation in a subsequent course.

Data Protection

  1. Personal data of Students is processed in accordance with applicable law.
  2. Detailed information regarding personal data processing is available in the Privacy Policy.

Final Provisions

  1. The School reserves the right to amend these regulations. Changes do not affect contracts already concluded, unless required by law.
  2. Matters not regulated herein are governed by applicable provisions of Polish law.
